I know what you´re thinking, 'why should I buy this Talc record?' Well the answer is very straightforward. You, like us, have an ideal venue in your mind for drinks, for good times, for laughter, the odd tear, and damn good tunes - your very own Wonderbar. We share your vision and, by the way, that´s a lovely top you´re wearing. Well done.

What you have in your high fidelity reproduction device (or 'hi-fi-rep-de' as we like to call them these days) is our idea of pub heaven, a rest from the strains of the everyday, a friendly face in the angry crowd we call life, albeit a rather bloated red one.
You´ll meet a few characters along the way - a travelling salesman passing through on his way to Havana, or even Birmingham; a sad dejected robot, single again after the unholy union of woman and machine backfires once more; even an out of work clown, down on his luck and contemplating going back to the trombone. It would be easy if we just filled the album with characters, like a comic or cheap newspaper, but we know that the building and its contents are just as important, maybe more so, than actual living things. Does it have a jukebox? How´s the sambuca? Does it have a covered and heated outside area for smokers? We´ve thought of all of these things, as you will hear during the next hour or so..
Of course all good things do come to an end and the sad toll of the bell cuts anyone who has a nerve in them to their very core. The last half an hour spins wildly out of control, closing time comes to us all…eventually.

Luckily there´s a party a minute up the road and you´re the host! Hooray!
