| Get started with the explosive Transcend Me by Australian BAMBOOS backed by UK soul diva Alice Russell. Right after thanks to Choklate vocals US funkers BREAKESTRA turned their Take My Time into a sister funk number. BIG DADDY MONCHIN from Brighton rocks the house with Ratpack. The track was originally released as B side on Baked Beans 45. Pushin' On by QUANTIC SOUL ORCHESTRA certainly needs no presentation. The originally Tru Thoughts 45 has gone quickly sold out and is now a collector item. From Spain we have hard funk party band PHAT FRED. German HI FLY are a fantastic souljazz, boogaloo band discovered by Tramp Records owner Tobias Kirmaier. La Valla is the new single of NYC's Boogaloo combo BRONX RIVER PARKWAY and is taken from the new album "San Sebastian 152". “Tired feet” is the new single on Acid Jazz records by the brilliant dj producer SMOOVE and anticipate the new album "All this love that I'm giving" which is just about to be released. The NEW MASTERSOUNDS has never been so much on the (northern) soul side with their remix of "Believe". KENNY DOPE once again shows us his magic touch in GARY DAVIS “You're is what I need” remix. The BUDOS BAND from Staten Island NYC brings us a brilliant mix of Afro and deep funk styles. The Africa 70 sound is back! Spanish funk underground's SWEET VANDALS are back with another classy sister funk hit. POETS OF RHYTHM are one of the best deep/raw funk band of our time. Halan Hawkshow Hammond classic Move Move Move is here reviewed by Italian Hammond-driven mod masters LINK QUARTET. While we’re waiting for their debut album Ducth soulies SOUL SNATCHER offers us the unreleased cover of Jackie Moore funk-soul cut “Who told you”. The Spanish SPEAK LOW has been assigned the duty of closing this compilation. The groovy “Meters Bread” is taken from their debut album “I'm gonna groove ya!”. | ![]() |
