Altered Natives returns with three exclusive tracks from his Tenement Yard Volume 2 album on vinyl (Album drops 3rd October on digital download). In his own words… Im back, it's 2011, it's a year since the last time we took a visit into the Tenement Yard. So what's been happening? Since the first installment i have been working on various projects and releases, slowly gathering together my next offerings for this series. And offerings I bring. Whilst i was writing this i noticed a lot of the tracks are highly personal in the origin of how they came to be. My music has always been used as a diary, some tracks were converted out of personal moments in time. So I guess its a good indication of the amount of passion, love, sweat & tears poured into this project. I hope you really enjoy the album… Here are three tracks taken from the album exclusively on vinyl… A1 "Friends & Lovers" The title may sound like some shitty Australian daytime soap about or an archived never heard Carpenters song title, but its far from that. I never realized till writing this how personal this series is. This was born out of a conflicting relationship with a female friend and lover. I got this track out of it. Winning. A2 "Galactic" This song was born around a moment of complete isolation and fed up'ness at my life and how i fit in to it. The connotations from the love samples were more a play at my own personal irony at love being everywhere but here. With me being the big messy trademark bass stabs answering with axe chops, chopping loves head off. Nice. A3 "Earthlings" Here i mix my percussive love with a disco'ish bass twist. This track was inspired by my constant feeling of not being from this planet as odd as it sounds. Another track asking "Who are you?" "Identify?!?" Which was more a personal question to myself along with "Where the fucks the mothership?"
