Someday

A 2 track balearic / downtempo single (11m 21s) — released October 19th 2009 on 3 Bar Fire

Virgil Howe has been writing and performing music since the age of four. Brought up around the crazy world of Progressive Rock, his father being guitar legend Steve Howe of Yes, Virgil was always encouraged to follow in the footsteps of his dad. His first instrument was the Moog synthesizer, drawn to the insane bleeps and swirls he could create at the turn of a dial. Since then Virgil turned to producing, releasing an album of Yes Remixes (2003) and a series of singles and mixtapes on UK independent hip hop label Scenario Records. Virgil continued to produce his own brand of psychedelic hip hop, remixing and working with The Nextmen, Shawn Lee, Terry Lynn, Dadahack, Echaskech, Brave and Bold, Lord Basis, Declaime, Georgia Muldrow and Foreign Beggars. Since taking up the drums Virgil has made his name as a hard-hitting, exuberant performer, playing with the likes of Bryan Ferry, The Pet Shop Boys, Shawn Lee, Demis Roussos, Mareva Galenter, The Future Sound Of London's super-group Amourphous Androgynous, The Dirty Feel, The Killer Meters and Little Barrie. 'Someday' travels further down the dusty hip-hop-funk path set by 'The Falling', ("so funky it makes your body spasm" – Resident Advisor) 3 Bar Fire's debut release way back in December 2007. Dadahack, whose members have previously been involved with The Auteurs, Gwen Stefani, U2, New Order, The Human League and Infantjoy, transform the original into epic, Balearic deep house.
