The first release in a series of compilations combining key releases and brand new & exclusive material, Liquid Assets Vol. 1 presents the sound of nine2five recordings in 2003. The history behind nine2five recordings goes hand-in-hand with the recent development of underground club culture in Finland. The local producers appearing on the label have quickly become some the most innovative and hotly-tipped on the circuit, with DHARMAONE churning out tracks and remixes on Hospital, Compost and Inspirit among others, and INFEKTO laying his brekabeat pressure on the Passenger label. Having spread the label sound in cities like London, Paris and Amsterdam, label heads THE EXECUTIVES also here as producers. Together with the much sought after 'Belong' DHARMAONE and previously unreleased CUICA remix on the Gilles Peterson favourite 'Left Hand Jazz', the first nine2five recordings compilation also introduces brand new & exclusive material from the likes of INFEKTO, APHRATEC, REBEAT and labelheads THE EXECUTIVES. The sampler EP comes complete with an exclusive JIMPSTER house remix of the DharmaOne broken beat classic 'Belong'. With a forthcoming release schedule including more gems from Infekto, DharmaOne and The Executives, LIQUID ASSETS is a testament of where the label is today.
