The first nine2five release by the duo behind Track n Field came under the name Robbyn Rhodes (Mr. Nice Guy EP, 2001) â€" a release that definitely made a mark with the leading track â€œFrom Me To Youâ€, a hip hop tempo jazzy instrumental, still getting played today. On the strength of just one 12" they got signed to Stereo Deluxe for a 3 album deal which turned into a no show after the untimely death of sadly missed label head Oli Roesch. The history of Track n Field dates back to early days of electronic music in Finland. Both Roberto Rodriguez and Jukka Kaartinen are veterans of the electronic music scene in all its forms. Inspired by hip hop and rare groove, they united in the 90s as a production team. Today, infusing sounds from jazz, soul, acid house, broken beat and electro, they have created the most diverse debut recording. Their sound really does reflect all the years of experience they have in music, infusing the dance music decades together and creating the perfect blend for the dancefloors and home stereos alike. The album title refers to the long time it has been in the making, and overall its length is pretty much the world record time on marathon!!!
