'HOT AS HEL !: EP is a sampler for the first ever forthcoming compilation bringing together the names of the thriving Helsinki club jazz & soul scene,all the way from established acts like Five Corners Quintet and Teddy Rok Seven to celebrated producers such as Dharma One (who had the massive track 'Belong' as played by Gilles Peterson, Bugz crew, Jazzanova & Jimpster). Of the 12 tracks featured on the CD all but three tracks have been available on vinyl before and so it makes sense that the EP that the label releases are ALL EXCLUSIVE ! A1.Present Sence feat Tuomo 'Nature Girl'. After releases for Italy's Archive Records amongst other projects,Present Sense have been building up their production catalogue, evolving into a six piece live band .On: Nature Girl: broken beats and sweet harmonies meet vocalist Tuomo who is the leading production force behind the outfit Quintessence on Whatmusic Recordings that Gilles Peterson did the sleeve notes on and played consistently on his national radio 1 show. B1.Katriina 'Spared Your Kiss'- A great voice and classic soul/r & b production from Dharma One .Following in the footsteps of her mother ,the model turned singer Katriina delivers the goods here on our favourite track from the Hot As Hel ! Ep. Katriina is currently recording her debut album for a sub label of Nine2five whilst Dharma One is currently locked in the studio producing with the Phuture Lounge collective (Maddslinky etc) B2.J- City 'All you Give' J 'City are Juha Tuukkanen and Terhi Koivisto who met in Helsinki and have worked together now for several years .This collaboration recently culminated in a decidedly more down tempo affair album project under the name of Spyritual that Germany's Kitty Yo label released in Autumn 2005.'
