Alis is also known for her former work under the alias Subeena. Her work has been covered on many major magazines and websites such as the Guardian, FACT, Dazed Digital and more. She is a RBMA alumni and has worked with artists such as Jamie Woon, and has had remixes by artists such as Matrixxman and Ital. Her work has ranged from production to singing and sound design. Her recent video collaborations and live shows involve local dancers and video artists.

Polite is Alis' first single since relocating Berlin to work for Ableton and establishes her interest in combining accessible melodies with layered and effected vocals. The video features fellow dancer Ariclenes Garcia and is shot by Maria Mendes. This one track release is the first of a series that is planned for the year and will involve more video and dance work together with her music.
