This 7" introduces a new compilation on Agogo Records called "Agogo Makes The World Go Round", due to be released early 2011. Side A) Bina Ehud are Brazilian guitarist Vinicio "Bina" Coquet and New York organist Ehud Asherie. Their love is for Brazilian music and 60s American jazz. We picked their lovely "Hudi's Blue" for the compilation. Side B) Mo'Horizons themselves put their hands on Nene Vasquez "Mi Historia Del Son". This combination works wonders, and that is no surprise. Nene Vasquez is not only the band's long time percussionist but has been crowned "Percussionist of the Year" in his home country Venezuela for several years and won a Grammy with his group Aterciopelados in 1999. Oliver Korthals (Mojo Club): Bossanover at its best! Plus an extra touch of Jazz in a true blue note style. Agogo is heading forward. Robert Luis: Like both tracks! Quincy Jointz: This is great summer feeling music. dope stuff! Rene Josquin: A biggie! Scribe (Raw Fusion): Digging the classic Blue Note era soul jazz sounds of Bina Ehud. UK Vibe: Both very different from each other and ticking all the boxes for sure. Renegades Of Jazz: Great selection, sophisticated and cool, must have! Shantisan: Simply fantastic.
