Edinburgh based producer, Jaisu, has been quietly making a name for himself with his production work for artists such as Danny Brown & Guilty Simpson. His unique, 100% sample based, production style has lead to the likes of 9th Wonder (Jay-Z/Erykah Badu), 88 Keys (Kanye West/Mos Def) & Alchemist (Modd Deep/Odd Future) naming him as one to watch.

'A Short Album' is the first in a 3-part Cassette Tape series from UK label, Astral Black, intended to introduce listeners to the Astral Black roster of artists ahead of vinyl releases throughout 2014. On 'A Short Album' Jaisu gives listener's a small taste of what he's capable of and the diversity of his sound. With the release limited to 100, screen printed, red Cassette Tapes and tracks from 'A Short Album' already receiving (perhaps unlikely) radio support from DJ's such as Plastican (Rinse FM), Eclair FiFi (Radio 1/LuckyMe) & Scratch DVA (Rinse FM/Hyperdub), 'A Short Album' appears to already be doing the job it's intended to do.
