Xrabit + DMG$ complete the warm-up for their debut album, "Hello World," with the self-explanatory "Damaged Good$," a blast of pure adrenalin, good times and fresh-paint stylings. Trak Bully and Coool Dundee (collectively known as DMG$ or Damaged Good$) take this opportunity to introduce themselves in the most brazen way possible a flow of words and images that perfectly encapsulates the way they tie modern Southern styles back to old skool signifying. Not to be outdone, Xrabit a Dalston Prince Paul fashions fanfares out of kids' keyboard noises and makes the tune as catchy as flu without losing any the brutality of his rhythm programming. Throw in another of Xrabit's mighty remixes (this one sounds like Sticky doing crunk) and a re-work from Montreal's new young Bass-Lock champ, Lunice, and it's a package of unimaginable loveliness. Straight outta Texas, Trak Bully and Coool Dundee met on their college basketball team and found they shared a love of cool clothes and European electronic music. Coool Dundee ran the hip hop show on college radio, schooling the student ranks on the history of the music, while while Trak blasted Dirty South artists such as Slim Thug, UGK, and Outkast through his mp3 headphones during his Biology labs. They started rapping together, making mixtapes etc, but couldn't find anyone local who can make the music they were hearing in their heads - dayglo, outrageous, cartoonish. Then, by chance, Trak came across the Myspace page of a producer from Dalston in London whose sound was just what they were after. The producer in question - Xrabit - had just sent a demo to Big Dada who had said they would love to work with him if he could find the right MC. The debut album this trio has fashioned is like a Dirty South "3 Feet High & Rising" for the late noughties. By turns funny, outrageous, silly and clever, it's distinguished throughout by cutting edge production that never shies away from a memorable tune. Press: "DMG$ will soon give a serious shake to the Third Coast and beyond, representing Texas in a bright, fresh light" - Stool Pigeon "Takes the old skool style to a new frontier... where mischief and adventure are kissing cousins" - iDJ "One helluva blast" - DJ "Gimme another two beers and this is the greatest thing I ever heard…" - Plan B
