Big Dada's first release came out in June 1997. Since then they have defined a spirit of adventure that has sometimes left people baffled, occasionally dazzled. Their efforts won them some acclaim (5th in Hip Hop Connection's Readers' Poll Label Of The Year 1997, a place above Def Jam - yeah baby) and the nod of those in-the-know as ones to watch in 1998. Now, with Roots Manuva signed up to put out an album by the autumn and interest growing rapidly overseas, they hope to fulfil those predictions. BLACK WHOLE STYLES is one small step.
