Manatee Commune

Clay (feat. Marina Price)

Bastard Jazz Recordings

Released: 6th November 2015 | 3 track downtempo single

Manatee Commune, a.k.a. Grant Eadie, began in the misty trees Bellingham, Washington. Combining textures of the rainy woods and the windy seas of the Pacific Northwest with the calming mood of clean surfy guitar licks and rolling arpeggiated sine waves, Manatee Commune seeks to capture the atmosphere of taking a thoughtful, self-reflecting stroll through the forest. Bright, downtempo percussion placed neatly under pleasant, classically influenced violin melodies make his music both easily listenable and complex.

After a slew of high profile looks including participating in 2015's Red Bull Basecamp, an NPR interview, a live in-session on Seattle's KEXP and opening slots for Bonobo at the Decibel Festival as well as a number of other appearances, Grant has signed to Bastard Jazz Recordings with Clay is his first commerically released single. The single release coincides a full West Coast US tour this November with Emancipator and Blockhead.
