What they say about 'The First Wave':

'The First Wave is a very pleasant listen, takingin grandiose cyber balladry, Carl Craig-esque electroglide & angular synthpop. 4/5' – Sunday Business Post (IE)

'The First Wave is Somadrone's best album yet - a collection of richly-detailed atmospheric electro-acoustic pop songs.' – Nialler 9 (IE)

'Somadrone's previous works have earned him comparisons to the likes of Brian Eno. The First Wave is no different and 'Bests' creates a vibe which is warmly nostalgic' – Diffuser.FM (US)

'Striding on Rhyme brings the gentle lapping waters of Mediterranean dance tides splashing onto the respective shores of UK and US rhythm movements. The beat moves down these oceanic bodies, channels and cross continental corridors. The synths shimmer and shiver like vibraphonic harmonic audio that is pitted against string scores that urge on smoke screens of drum aided percussion tricks.' – Impose Magazine (US)

'I listened through the Somadrone record and really loved it. So much so, that I immediately played it on the show straight away.' – Stephen McCauley, BBC Radio Ulster (UK)

''Reckoning' is all about the funky bass, which loops throughout the track. Everything else takes a backseat (as a former bass wannabee this is as it should be) and the vocals are close to indistinguishable – you really have to listen.' – The Point Of Everything (IE)
