Destroy It Yourself

A 12 track folk-rock album (41m 55s) — released May 9th 2011 on Josaka

There are few songwriters on the UK's underground circuit who work as hard as Oxygen Thief, aka Barry Dolan, spending the past three or so years playing everywhere from house parties in the middle of nowhere to playing support slots with the likes of Johnny Foreigner, Malcolm Middleton and Frank Turner. Despite adopting a one-man-plus-acoustic arrangement more associated with folk acts, 'Destroy It Yourself' is indisputably for rock fans, largely owing to the multi-layered riffs and a throaty growl. This album, his first, was entirely self-produced and mixed, and was mastered by M&C Saatchi's ad-soundtrack hotshot Alex Ball.
