Right Now' is more than just the newest single by veteran songstress Kim Hill. It is a statement of soul drenched purpose from the singer/songwriter who has penned cuts with Tupac Shakur and been shouted out by fine folks like Dionne Warwick and Cypress Hill. Produced by DJ Dummy (Them Cats), the turntable master for Common and Talib Kweli, the original 'Right Now' offers a classic crash cymbal and guitar loop, that simmers like 'Crazy in Love' with extra sway in its hips. It's the perfect bedding for the former Black Eyed Peas singer to roll her fully empowered vocals in, and that's just the start. Concrete Grooves impresario Presto offers his own stripped down mix, which pulls off the instrument samples in favor of some extremely, wet claps and equally fluid synths. You'll find both beats on the instrumental tip, but the accomplishments of these two top producers are almost secondary to 'Nutshell', a glistening cut produced by Hill, supported by a somber two note echo and the lady harmonizing with none other than herself. Pure genius.'
