A slight change in direction for the London label, this sweet broken beat styled production features some lush female vocals and fresh live sounding beat. Limited copies left! Bear witness, this double A release is pure, original material performed by the band to exceptionally fine quality. 'Under A Sheltered Sky ' is an uncompromising slab of blazing soul-jazz bound to blow the cobwebs away and rinse out the stagnant and diluted. It has instant appeal from the moment the warm Rhodes chords drop in the intro and the tuff beat and bass line kick the speakers. Dj Doubles of Monsta Bop Stars grabs the opportunity to serve-up some tight opening cuts prior to the first verse. Enter singer Thimali, with a smooth but rich tone that pulls you into the picture where you wait to be greeted by a silky dose of brass. The horns sing on their own before the break-down arrives with a further sprinkling of scratches and a dusting of a Moog after which the beat doubles up and the whole arrangement comes thundering back in to a glorious finale. This is a good-time vibe not to be slept on! On the flip the jazz rap of 'Where's Mahoney' makes way for a lush brass excursion and seeping strings paired with a hasty bass groove. The vivacious, sing along chorus lifts your troubles before the break gives space for a nimble bass change accompanied by sparse key stabs. The whole affair comes complete with an underlying wah-wah guitar lick and a further outing for the Moog. Irresistible!'

?It?s a tall order to state that you are, on every release, going to supply the finest in hip hop and funk, but bundle me over with an SP 1200, they seem like they are?? - Touch Magazine
