After almost 3 seasons on the road touring festivals in UK and Ireland and 18 months of writing and recording, the 7 piece Daytoner live band are finally ready to release the first fruits from the studio, a limited edition 7" vinyl single featuring a new Northern Soul style stomp 'Needed You' along with another live favourite on the flip side, 'Sicka', a remake of a 60s jazz dance classic.

Earlier demos of 'Needed You' have featured on The Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show on BBC6 Music, BBC Introducing on BBC Radio One and BBC Radio Cornwall and this newly mastered single version contains a 2018 update of 'Needed You' and a sample-free version of 'Sicka' with the band replaying and remaking all the samples contained in earlier demo versions.

This is the first of 3 Daytoner band releases planned for Spring 2018, including a second 7" vinyl single in May ahead of their debut LP in June and the band will be touring the new records at various UK festivals such as Shindig, Great Estate & Boomtown plus support gigs for The Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show throughout the Summer.
