Cabazon EP

A 6 track balearic / downtempo ep (22m 2s) — released February 7th 2011 on Cereal System

Jacob 2-2 is a Brooklyn-based electronic music producer, whose debut EP "Gifted Child" was released in 2010 on NYC's Cereal System imprint. 2011 is kicking off with the release of a second EP of 6 tracks entitled "Cabazon" Cabazon combines glitchy hip-hop beats, swirling psychedelic synths looking back to library music of the early 80's, with intricately detailed blips and bleeps. DJ Nick Luscombe of Flomotion radio (http://www.flomotionradio.co.uk/) describes the sound as "Brilliant...taking a developing sound a few steps forward". Boomboomchick.com lauds it as "Future hop...quality tracks worth of multiple listens." For fans of Boards of Canada, Games, Flying Lotus, etc.

Perfect sound design. Hints of vintage computing while staring at a sun setting.. with visions of a video age slowly melting in the sky. - Com Truise Yes Yes Y'all.org

2011′s Best Underground Music. He’s got a great ear for pop melodies and sick beats that makes the EP is worth a listen or five - Josh Becker AmericanNoise.com

(7.3/10) Cabazon propone in sintesi una hauntologia electro che è una hip house in salsa spacey messa a stingere in candeggina Ottanta glo/wonky. - Gabriele Marino sentireascoltare.com

Jacob 2-2′s got the downtempo liquidy synth game on lock. - Eric Sarley (ghost) headnodz.fm
