Earth And Air And Rain

Our second release appears out of the ether as a four track collaboration between two rising faces of the UK underground electronic scene: My Panda Shall Fly who has had a string of successful collaborative projects (Benjamin Jackson, Will Ward, Adventure Elephant) in the past year and is proving to be an infinitely diverse and exciting producer - and; Microburst who in the wake of his Hadal Lagoon release (Svetlana Industries) has exhibited an extraordinary array of sonic manipulations with remixes for Kelpe, Rounds and Seams.

In one hand Earth And Air And Rain reflects its title with organic, chaotic and ever shifting tectonic plates of scrambled textures and metamorphic rhythms and echoes primal music inextricably linked with the elements and our origins. And in the other hand reflects the modern technology by which it has been made, from each click and drag of the mouse comes disintegrating dance music indicators, processed beats and mercurial drones all sliding on and way-off the grid.

The visual artwork; a bespoke design by artist Emir Šcaron;hanović closely reflects these themes further with antiquated portrait photos of the two merging together crudely, excavated layers of paper and vivid smears of digital colour and texture obscuring their identities. The digital version of the tracks and cover art will take a further turn and will be available as an interactive manipulable online video/programme developed by digital artist Chris Shier. Viewers will immerse themselves in an ever-shifting psychedelic wash of colour and texture in time with each track.
