Dark Energy Recordings

Released: 20th April 2009 | 3 track deep house ep
Fourth time round here at Dark Energy Recordings and after the success of Daniel Kyo's Shake It EP we bring you the mighty Palmskin Productions. Discerning DJs should know Palmskin from his previous EPs on Freerange. The trainspotters amongst you will remember him from way back when on the Mo'Wax label. Palmskin's Done has been parked firmly in our CD wallet for some time now and has been slowly gathering steam ahead of this official release. The breakdown in Done is an absolute monster and has raised the roof during recent Milton Jackson & Shur-i-kan gigs. Talking of Shur-i-kan, the man himself steps up for remix duties and remains respectful to the original whilst injecting some additional dancefloor energy to the groove. This is coupled together with a Curly-esque growling bassline for maximum impact. Bass-bin insurance is probably a good move before playing this out! Finishing off the package is a warped and wonderful track called Pig Iron. With its twisted chords, amazing ambience and subtle jazz touches this will appeal to the deeper heads and fans of Pepe Bradock's earlier releases. Support from Mark Farina, Laurent Garnier, Osunlade, Nick Warren, Jimpster, Nick Holder and many others
