Jason Beukes, aka Escapism Refuge was born in Johannesburg, South Africa. In his own words:

I generally try to absorb as much as I can from my surroundings and try

Paint a picture of I take in, through the sound I create

Jason has an eclectic Musical crate and draws influences from the likes of Radiohead, Bonobo and A Tribe Called Quest to name a few.

Traps EP is an insight to Escapism Refuge and what he is all about as producer.

Masterfully arranged beats, colourful melodies and a nice dollop of bass to get your eardrums immersed inn!

We at Deep Heads are SUPER excited for this one to drop!

Already picked up at an early stage by Gilles Peterson on BBC Radio 6Music, the Infamous Lefto from Belgium, Zeb Samuels from Deep Heads and Joe Kay from Soulection, this EP is set to get to be the beginning of a very bright future for this excited new talent.
