City Madness / Info People EP

A 7 track deep house album (39m 13s) — released August 10th 2009 on Development Music

Development Music is back with release number two, an EP featuring vocals from Croatian sensation Yannah Valdevit (Eddy Meets Yannah - Compost/Sonar Kollektiv) and an eclectic package of productions & remixes from two of the UK's hottest production talents: Deep house maestro Atjazz and broken beat innovator Domu. First up, 'City Madness'; a broken soul jam reminiscent of 4hero or Reel People at their best. With breathtaking string arrangements accompanying deep heartfelt lyrics, backed up by Domu's trademark broken beats; this is the feeling of summer wrapped up in a record. AtJazz then brings his deep and electronic soulful house vibe to 'Info People', a thought-provoking song questioning the effect of online networking communities on our social lives. AtJazz's percussion led, atmospheric backing to Yannah's jazzy vocals build into a peak time groove worthy of any self respecting dance floor. For the remixes Domu and Atjazz collaborate in the studio for the first time, reinterpreting the tracks to devastating effect. First up, City Madness gets the AtJazz and Domu soulful house treatment on 'A&D's 4 the Summer Remix'. This is huge. Next up Atjazz delivers his killer 'Floor Dub'; a contemporary take on the classic 90's house sound of Mood II Swing and Masters at Work. Both artists add further fuel to the fire with their Bruk Mush Remix, taking Info People into the broken, twisted underground realms. A real 5am vibe.
