Previous to this, his fifth album, Sam Paglia was best known for his two Irma albums "B-Movie Heroes" and "Nightclubtropez" which made him a cult artist on the international Lounge music panorama and a well respected Hammond organ player. His music has featured on many compilations from labels such as Irma and Hed Kandi and has featured on television programs including 3 tracks on Sex & The City. He is a composer, songwriter, cartoonist and performer. Sam has melted different genres of music in his cauldron and has come up with a personal and original product of his own. All of his world can be felt on this latest record: the soul, jazz, funk, psychedelic, beat, rock, bossanova and last but not least the Hammond organ make this a timeless product. "Electric Happiness" is a definitive claim of a free artist, unique and skilled, incapable of being caged into the usual kind of musical stereotypes. He is ready to make his own way as of those great artists whose names are synonymous of quality. Sam Paglia group essentially consists of a trio with himself on the Hammond organ, his brother Simon on the drums and Bob Dusi on the guitar. A singer, sax player, keyboard and bass player and percussionist are added to the group as and when required depending on bookings.
