Aubade (feat. Julie Feeney)

A 1 track post-modern pop single (3m 5s) — released March 3rd 2014 on Eire Supply

The first single taken from Kevin Nolan's debut album 'Fredrick & The Golden Dawn' features Dublin songstress Julie Feeney. Strangely beautiful comes to mind on your first listen but listen again and what will become clear is how well these two vocalists, without much effort, sing a hauntingly beautiful lullaby that will make you want to hit the repeat button!

Kevin is a multi-instrumentalist usually performing all the instruments himself as well as all vocals on his songs. He has gathered together a group of musicians to help him bring the songs to the stage. Author Rob Doyle simply wrote of Kevin's live shows "Nolan is a seething cauldronful of the literary, the theatrical, and the gothically flamboyant, seasoned with a smattering of infernal burlesque" Nolan is self-taught musically and studied Philosophy and Fine Art at college. Kevin has also published a volume of poetry entitled 'Vibrations Of The Soul'. His new album 'Fredrick & The Golden Dawn' will be released on March 7th.

Julie Feeney - Hailed by The Washington Post as "The Emerald Isle's Original" Feeney's music is widely broadcast on TV and radio. Her sold-out performance at Ireland's premier concert venue, The National Concert Hall received a 10-minute standing ovation. The Observer (U.K.) gushed that Feeney's debut album, '13 songs' was "the blossoming of a major talent" adding that "Feeney towers over her contemporaries". The NY Times has also called her music "charming, urbane and dreamy" and The Guardian (UK) simply said "the world will listen". The Village Voice in New York described her music as "blending the pop ambitions of Gaga with Elvis Costellian wordplay". She has performed many other sold out shows in America, Canada, Ireland, England, France, Italy, Germany and Holland either solo, with her own ensemble or with numerous orchestras for which she orchestrated and composed. Julie puts on a stunning show combining her songs with elements of theatre and performance art and often wearing head-pieces.
