Duncan Powell - Impossible Songs

Duncan Powell

Impossible Songs

Released: 11th July 2011 | 8 track garage album
Duncan Powell burst on the scene as a producer with his infamous 4x4 garage remix of the early 90's classic 'There's Nothing Like This' by Omar. Essentially this remix sums up musically what Duncan is all about; a love for great tunes regardless of genre, an eye for a remix and a love of bumpy beats. Duncan's productions have been popular with dj's such as MJ Cole, Karl Brown, Matt 'Jam' Lamont & DJ EZ as well as support and major airplay from countless pirate radio Djs over the last 10 years. In March 2004 Duncan released his debut ep the 'Right Now' ep on Staylocked Recordings which entered at number one in the BBC 1xtra garage charts which was swiftly followed up with the 'So Bad' ep, on rekonasense recordings. These two releases culminated in Duncan being nominated for best 4x4 producer at the Sidewinder People's Choice Music Awards 2004. Since then Duncan has had many other releases and gone on to remix for MJ Cole, Mutya Buena, Asher D, The Dreem Teem, Ed Case as well as working with UK artists such as NY, J2K & Purple. As well as producing, Duncan has made guest DJ appearances on various radio shows and stations such as Kiss 100, 1Xtra, Choice Fm, Vybe Fm, Subjam, Shine, Freeze, & Ministry of Sound Radio. Impossible Songs' is an instrumental album destined to showcase his creativity even further.
