Producer 2 Part 2

A 2 track balearic / downtempo single (5m 52s) — released June 8th 2009 on Fat City

This is the second 7inch in a series of 4 featuring tracks taken from the forthcoming Producer 2 album set for release in the Autumn. Producer 2 features a collection of new and resurfaced tracks focusing on the world's finest and most invigorating beat makers. It brings together all the most exciting elements around today from Hip Hop, electronica and beyond in the post-Dilla generation. Featured artists include Dabrye, Mike Slott, Carlos Nino. Daedelus, Illum Sphere, Andy Votel, Ras G & Low Limit and Mr Dibiase. This 7 features San Fran based Low Limit, one half of Lazer Sword. They describe their sound as 'your favourite top 40 rap shit chopped up into a tornado filled with razor blades and molasses or Frank Zappa rocking the home made Lil John tank top at the rooftop party'. We feel this pretty much sums up 'Inspirational Jumpsuit' .Lazer Sword recently toured Europe and were featured on Mary-Anne Hobbs Radio 1 show. Mr Dibiase is an old head from L.A beat scene whos been doing his thing for over 10 years. He's opened shows for MF Doom, GZA and J Zone and collaborates with the likes of Ras G and Flying Lotus. His productions run from 8 bit classics to seductive soul to raw grungy bangers. "May The Force" falls into the latter of these styles and is an extra heavy, deeply compressed club rocker which switches between a chop up of the Star Wars (Death Star) OST and a lo-fi rendition of the same piece.
