Building on the song Silent that was created around 2017, while still searching for their original sound, Moritz and Martin laid the foundation to create this release, both being obsessed with sound and audio experimentation since childhood. During one of these phases of experimentation, "Apart" was mostly created in a remote cabin at a Bavarian lake. Separated from neatly structured urban cityscapes, the two worked with organic sounds as well as organic objects that they found on their walks around the forests to create their sound design. Always driven by drums and percussion with the melodies following , the music represents the place in between, remote from the usual and ordinary, the real word and the imagination, dream and reality.
