Feelin Kinda Strange

A 2 track breaks single (12m 50s) — released May 17th 2011 on Finger Lickin

Drumattic Twins have created an album rich in Finger Lickin’ flavour, taking influences from funk, house, hip hop and of course breakbeat. Dominate/ Feelin’ Kinda Strange is the first single from the album, pitching the tough acid breaks of Dominate against the catchy Scanty Sandwich-esque Feelin’ Kinda Strange. Nick Slater and Lanx are certainly no strangers to the dance scene. If you were around for acid house’s halcyon days you will undoubtedly remember the legendary Shades of Rhythm. Nick and Lanx with vocalist Rayan Gee were responsible for tunes like ‘Sweet Sensation’, ‘Homicide’, ‘Ecstasy’ and ‘Sound of Eden’, tracks so seminal they’re likely to induce misty-eyed mumblings about the good old days. Some ten years later Nick and Lanx formed a new outfit, and have re-emerged as the Drumattic Twins, signed up with Finger Lickin’, the label responsible for Plump DJs, Soul of Man, Krafty Kuts and Lee Coombs. Drumattic Twins first single on the label, "Thinkin’ About You/ Mutate the Beat’ was licensed worldwide. Support came from all the breaks DJ’s, and Radio 1 as well. Set to impress the masses once again with their beats, it’s time to get Drumattic!
