> Played by Tom Robinson on BBC Introducing.

And received many favourable reviews by online and print media.

Townsend's new "Electric Pylons EP" was recorded with acclaimed producer Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers) in October 2011 and is a 5-track EP of radio-friendly, uptempo singer/songwriter pop/rock.

Press quotes have included the following:

"The 23-year-old clearly has mass appeal and glimpses of massive ambition on the Beatlesy pair 'Direction' and 'For The Best', and the extremely radio friendly 'Hardest Summer.'"
