Formed in Montreal, Canada in early 2003 by Gabriel Aldama, Afrodizz took the country by storm with their appearance at the Montreal Jazz Festival where the national papers all described them as the act of the event. Following this show they have been playing sell out shows all over Canada and the UK.
The a-side of their debut release on Freestyle Records is the self-penned 'No Time' featuring the warm soulful vocals of Vance Payne. It is a rousing upbeat mixture of afrobeat and funk. The b-side is a version of 'Kalakuta Show' originally recorded by Fela Kuti in 1976.'
