The Society are Thomas Hass & Tommy Gee and are based in Copenhagen, Denmark. Previously known for their production work on Ursula Rucker's 'Silver or Lead' album, alongside remixing her 'Supa Sista' track and their own productions with Ovasoul 7, the duo have blown away heads with their sublime blend of jazz, house , broken beat, R&B and smooth soul. This, their 2nd single for Freestyle, sees them continue their collaboration with the spoken word queen. Evoking a sound reminiscent of Miles Davis? electro-era jazz, but in keeping with the edgier sounds of modern day artists such as 4Hero and Jazzanova.'

Ursula Rucker?s trademark vocal blinkers groom her as a suitable spiritual leader from the future, less so a secure human being with her continual worries of ?can I live up to my own potential?? What the lyrics have to do with the busy broken beat guile and grace of Denmark?s Hass & Gee is vague, but the opposites attract here. *** - Matty O Update
