Sinners'are you ready to testify ' Fresh from his crusades in the unholy land of trance, spreading the good word of funk and soul, the so-sanctimonious-it-hurts Reverend Cleatus returns to deliver some righteous funk on your damned soul: lets hope it's not too late. Amongst recent converts to The Soul Saviours line-up are veterans of such bands as 'The Soul Destroyers', ' The Longo All-stars' & 'The Bongolian', amongst contributions from many other followers. The good word must be spreading! Amassing a respectable amount of sweaty, rabble rousing gigs in every major & minor funk club since 2003, it's hard to believe this is only the bands 2nd outing on vinyl (check 'Salt Popcorn' on the recent 'Hot, Funky & Sweaty' compilation). Heavy on the grit, the Soul Saviours lay down some puritanical breaks, with healthy servings of Hammond, thundering bass and sharp horns. To all the funky brothers and sisters in the country, world, Heavens above'and even Hell below'Amen to that!'
