APC immediately draws you in with its glossy and soulful throwback vocal, induscing that instinctive shoulder swing in its listeners. Muted, moody minor seventh piano chords add satisfying warmth to the London-centric percussion work and bass line carving. Touching base at UK garage, laidback 4 x 4 house and the more experimental pop productions spawned by the likes of Timberland, Darkchild and The Neptunes, APC glides along effortlessly until its final bars.

By no means restricted to dancefloor listening, Utrecht reworks APC as a club edit for the b-side. Here the kick drum prevails, the piano chords punch and the sweet-like-chocolate vocal is funneled through further filtering, resulting in feelings of sonic nostalgia for that good time raving of he early 00's.

Whilest little is known of London boy James McIntosh and his Utrecht project, APC marks the beginning of a unique string of releases for the fledgling artist, as well as yet another characteristically striking cut from the Good Years gang.
