Elmore Grove is the debut EP from London based act Captive State, set for release on Genuine Records on 22nd September 2008. Originally encouraged by Brian Eno's enthusiastic response to their first demos, Captive State's Tom Bootle and Joseph Kennedy teamed up with Lemon Jelly's Nick Franglen and created their debut release, "Elmore Grove", a musical journey that transcends genre, generations and generality. To realise their vision Captive State have assembled a 6-piece live band led by the enigmatic and powerful front man Kennedy, with Bootle playing keyboards, guitar, trombone and other assorted instruments. The band played a residency at Farringdon's Slaughtered Lamb during the summer and have a single Launch @ The Flea Pit in East London on September 4th and play Camden's Proud Galleries on the 7th September. They will start a new London residency in October (venue tbc).
