The first of a brand new series from the Greenmoney duo, aka Alex Phountzi (formerly of Bugz in the Attic) and Leo Greenslade (yOyO). Aimed squarely at the dancefloor, this strictly instrumental EP is the follow up to the 'Gold Ru$h EP' on A-Trak's Fool's Gold imprint that dropped last summer. Having properly launch Greenmoney Recordings in late Autumn with the debut release of the brilliant Mista Men crew - more to come from them soon - the boys decided to bring a bit of their own flavour to the floor. Ranging from 128 up to 140bpm, Leo and Alex show just how far they can take it as they encompass a lifetime of influences from house to broken to jungle, etc. Some feedback: DJ Zinc (Rinse) - Thanks for sending. Mistajam (Radio One/1Xtra) - Heat It Up is sick! Supporting Untold - Nice EP - but Tropicalstep is FIRE! Will def be dropping that one! Hot City - GREAT STUFF, love 'Head Bash' and 'Tropicalstep' the most, 200% support from us. 5/5 DJ Q (BBC 1Xtra) Big EP! "Headbash Riddim" standing out for me. Tomb Crew - Head Bash is wicked! Roska (Rinse) - Feeling 'Head Bash' Daniel Haaksman (Man Recordings) - I like the Chicago feeling of 'Head Bash' and 'Heat It Up' but 'Rattlesnake' is my top pick. Can't wait to play it out. 4/5. Photomachine - All about Tropicalstep... will rinse this weekend.
