Something's On My Mind

A 5 track nu-disco ep (31m 3s) — released November 25th 2013 on Ism Records

The mighty Tiny Cornelius aka Hamish Balfour delivers his debut EP for London's Ism Record, with 2 killer joints featuring 2 young Swedish female vocalists and eclecticism is the name of the game.

Tiny hails from North London, a full-time party animal and multi-instrumentalist extraordinaire, with a love for heavy jazz & electronic's, bass music, Flying Lotus, Robert Glasper and Thundercat.

First up is 'Something's On My Mind' featuring the rising sensation Mariama who is huge demand and currently hot on the live circuit.

Glasgow's young house maverick Barrientos tears the sultry brooding Dilla'esque original into a Uber-cool dance floor anthem that is an instant classic.

Label don Yam Who? does a total flip and floats some analogue madness on a bumpin mid-tempo nocturnal groover, that again takes the original vibe into a totally new direction and is already receiving huge DJ feedback.

The second original jam is 'Black Silk' again featuring another young Swedish female vocalist 'Elsa Esmeralda' from Gothenburg, who many with know from London Electricity, showing the true essence of the Tiny Cornelius sound, deeply cinematic, original & sublime.

Finally from from Toronto the new upstarts Blue Youth remix 'Black Silk' into a sexy boogie workout, staying true to the original arrangement but totally funking it out with a heavy b-line, trippy synths laced with smoking keys!
