Hard Times

A 4 track nu-disco ep (25m 21s) — released September 18th 2015 on Ism Records

Alena is an East London based singer / songwriter who conjures up beautifully soulful based compositions with a modern flavour. In 2011 with the release of 'Changes' including the Ron Basejam remix she become the queen of the boogie scene following with more original feel good material, 'U Used To Hold Me' and 'Let Me Be The One'. Now her & Yam Who? are back with 2 nu summer jam's, Hard Times & Don't You Know. Golden boy Ourra following on from his chart topping Ilija Rudman remix, steps up to twist 'Don't You Know' into a sublime modern boogie masterpiece whilst another Ism favourite Autocyle takes their original 'Hard Times' and goes that little bit rougher, tougher towards a more darker, euphoric dancefloor workout. To round off the package Leebo Freeman delivers a seriously trippy & wonky re-make of 'Use 2 Hold Me' showing off his trademark drums & production skills.
