Kraak & Smaak continue their quest to bring their super strength dutch funk to the world masses with the release of One of These Days. A version of this track was originally tucked away on their now deleted “Keep On Searching EP†and the track has become the highlight of their live shows and the most downloaded track from their album “Boogie Angstâ€. The track melds funky drums with brass stabs, a rolling live bass and a vocal line written by none other than Ray Charles. Mixes come courtesy of Washington DC funk hipsters The Fort Knox Five, Grand Central main man Mark Rae and Spanish hotshots Balearic Soul . FK5 have taken a break from the showbiz world of being Gwen Stefani’s tour DJ’s to drop the remix pressure for K&S. Mark Rae returns the remix favour for K&S after they remixed “Medicine†from his album and showcases his new ARP dancehall influenced style with production partner Rhys Adams â€" melding strings and additional rap catches to the original parts to create something poetic, inspired and unique. Balearic Soul head straight for the main room with a funked up house mix that had Pete Tong on board and previewing the mix on his show three months upfront of release.
