Jalapeno Funk is the sound of all the breakbeat funk producers who are moving their sound out of the bars and onto the main floor. Taking the funk magic that makes the people shake their asses but giving it the beef and the breaks to work on a main room floor. OK It's not gonna appeal to the Put Your hands Up for another pill brigade but it's a sound that has a growing appeal around the world as the international nature of this compilation shows. Featuring tracks from the US (the All Good Funk Alliance mix of IKON and their own B-Team production) Australia (Flow Dynamics via his UK label Freestyle) Germany (Telesfor and Sneaky Fox the producers of which have their home with the superb Pulver label), Holland (The now world famous Kraak & Smaak) and Belgium (D'Stephanie the first lady of funk who also produces for labels such as Sonar Kollektiv) all the way through to home grown talent like Skeewiff and Soopasoul, Dr Rubberfunk and Flash Callahan it's a good time to be involved in dance music with soul. The compilation features two exclusive new tracks from Jalapeno heavy hitters Kraak & Smaak, a previously unreleased future funk anthem from Soopasoul (Brand Nu) as well as new and unreleased material from Dr Rubberfunk and Flash Callahan. It also comes with a bonus CD mixed by jalapeno label boss and Jalapeno Sound System resident Trevor Mac. Having staged Jalapeno parties at London venues The Lodge and The Westbury as well as providing the back room action for London Saturday night headliners like Type at The Cross the Jalapeno Sound System will be hitting the road on a tour to support this album release.
