This is the wonderful follow-up on the debut album "Soens folk" from the guys behind Analogik. Analogik is a very entertaining mashup of balkan, hiphop, ska, electronic music, jazz, 70s-agent-music, gameboy music and russian kosak-music. There is not really much to compare with. Imagine something like balkan beatbox mixed with ninja tune and again mixed with a danish sailerband that has moved to Russia. Then you are close to the spirit of Analogik. Analogik is hard to classify into a specifc genre and this also seems to be the very most important point for the band. The music is, as the name indicates, a mixture of electronic and analogue music and you will hear a jumble of instruments as accordion, bass, saxophone, violin, acoustic guitar, turntables, analogue synthesizers, percussion, laptop, Nintendo controller and much more on the album. The album is a fake live album and between the tracks you will hear an audience sampled from all sorts of concerts around the world. The band mention themselves as a bunch of long bearded rag pickers in the context of music. Analogik is located in Aarhus and Copenhagen in Denmark and started out playing around 2004. They have received a lot of nice reviews for their very laid back, but in the same time extremely festive concerts. Among others at the Roskilde festival in 2007.During 2009 the band will play at varies venues around Europe so watch out!
