Made of Magic (Mark Freegard TK9 Mix)

A 1 track indie rock single (4m 1s) — released March 8th 2010 on Jack To Phono

2010 is not just a good name for a sequel. The second album, provisionally titled "Royal Variety", is on its way to completion. The first single from it, "Made of Magic" has been mixed by Mark Freegard (of The Breeders fame) and features high-speed car-crash vocals. The band have also picked up plays from Huw Stephens (In New Music We Trust), Gideon Coe, Steve Lamacq, Don Letts and John Kennedy's Xposure show along the way. Already in 2010 they have a UK tour announced and are attracting shows in France, Germany and Scandinavia as their unique sounds start to travel across mainland Europe like a reverse Norman migration. Already in 2010 the band have recorded session tracks for Marc Riley and Gideon Coe on 6 Music. The single "Made of Magic" will be released on 29th March on Jack to Phono Records with the album following shortly after.

Glitchy electro meets thumping beats, and it’s all shackled to a vocal that’s so rapid fire. Addictive stuff though - Matt Call Upon the Author

it’s a bold, challenging, largely successful experiment in the welding of Sonic Youth and Pavement overlaid with a sneering British punk aesthetic. - Sam Monk Last Broadcast

The hundred-mile-an-hour vocals alone show this song is full of energy, and the catchy chorus has me hooked - Lucie Viner The Yorker

"A Wonderful record. I really love it , it makes me want to freak out!" - Nick Grimshaw BBC Radio 1

Not so much a song but an achievement! Incredible Stuff! - Marc Riley BBC6 Music

Supporting on my show.. - Huw Stephens BBC Radio 1 INMWT

Supporting with plays on my show... - John Kennedy (xposure) XFM

Had the band in for a session track and supporting - Gideon Coe BBC 6 Music

Although the song sounds unique it does at times emit comparisons with mid-point Radiohead, Super Furry Animals and Beck amongst others. 4 out 5 - Ian Snell City Lifers Manchester
