'VIND PROJECT is solo project of Mr. Meelis Vind, who is most valued clarinet and bass-clarinet player in Estonia. Busy with Estonian National Symphony Orchestra and with contemporary music he still finds time for his own music and project. Here he comes with his new album on Julm Records: deep jazz: should i say.' Priit 'Julm' Juurmann 'Guiding line in this album is the search for the harmony and that search mainly materializes through the sound of the harp and trait of chracter of the harp and other instruments. ' Meelis Vind Meelis Vind studied clarinet in Conservatoy of St.Petersburg and Tallinn in 1980s. He graduated in 1988 and even before that in 1986 he was accepted as a clarinet player in Estonian National Symphony Orchestra. He is known as player and composer who is always looking for the new sounds and soundscapes. That has lead him into the different musical projects within contemporary music (NYYD-Ensemble, Ansamble 'U') but not only. Mr.Vind is also a member of Estonian Dream Big Band and he has been working with the jazzmusicians for more than 15 years. Long time collaboration with Raivo Tafenau (Duo Tafenau 'Vind, Trio Tafenau 'Vind 'Padilja, 90s Tafenau Kvintett: there is also an album 'Aloun Together' 1999 from that period of time).
