The EP starts off with Another Island remixed by Slope. The track really builds on the beautiful vocals of Aida Khaan & Ulrich Miljavac with a real summer groove. When Slope were asked to work on this project, the spec was to remix their favourite track from the album, but even we were surprised when they submitted 2 mixes to us. It seems that Hans & Daniel liked the original so much they couldn't decide which direction to take the mix, so they did both! The dub shares many of the elements of the remix, but is delivered in a manner reminiscent of the cut and paste sound best known from Akufen. Flipping over to side B, the EP moves onto Charlie Dark's Between Yesterday & Tomorrow with it's trademark elements, deepness, analogue keys, atmospherics, vocal snippets, a real Blacktronica vibe number for the heads out there, plus anyone who likes to have music that challenges & is not strictly obvious. Lastly Li'll Bo Tweak capture the vibe of an early 80's boogie number in the style of Street Sound / Nu Groove, but add a contemporary twist. The result is a killer 116bmp latenite number which has been getting props from all the heads.
