Between Yesterday & Tomorrow

A 13 track broken beat album (1h 2m 38s) — released August 25th 2008 on Loungin Recordings

Parisian producer Arthur Pochon AKA Art Bleek has studied music since he was six years old and enrolled in music conservatory at the tender age of eight, learning piano & saxophone and after twelve years he graduated. During those years Arthur listened to a mix of classical, jazz and electronic music and started composing original tracks using a 4-track tape recorder. In '96 Art moved to Boston for the summer to study at the world-renowned Berklee College of Music on a Full Scholarship. This trip proved to be a life-changing experience and gave direction to Arthur's artistic choices. From there Arthur set up his home studio and started to home in on his particular blend of dance floor jazz, blending his live musicianship with electronic beats. In 2001 his music drew the attention of several labels, he did tracks for various compilations and took up the art of djing. Towards the end of 2004, Arthur signed to London's loungin' recordings and started to work on his first album. In addition to being an accomplished musician and producer, Arthur also wrote the screenplay for his first short film 'Tel qu'Elle', which he also directed in 2004. He also wrote the original score for it.
