Strayhorn is a soul/ funk 8-piece, featuring Lisa Millett on vocals (ATFC, Paul Oakenfold, All Seeing I), along with Jimmy Le Messurier (drums), Pete Eckford (percussion), Simon Edwards (bass), Jonny Enright (trombone/ keyboards), Finn Peters (sax/flute/ keyboards), Olly Drew and Leon Stenning (guitars). Reach/ Won't You Stay? is the band's debut release and the first in a series of Strayhorn singles. "Reach" is a deep, jazzy, afro-influenced dance tune, while in contrast "Won't You Stay?" is a soulful down-tempo love song. Watch out for live dates from September 2009.
