Aptly-titled a-side "Throbbing" rides a spiraling arpeggio in and out of focus against a jacking 909 beat, while "Nodding" builds from a simple motif into a resonating, full-immersion soundscape.
Continuing the thread started earlier this year with his 12" for Workshop and the Interplanetary Prophets collaboration with Jamal Moss, "Throbbing b/w Nodding" showcases Ital's move away from a computer-based approach into live hardware. The results are two stunning balancing acts, simultaneously propulsive and melting, mysterious and raw.
