Coil

A 2 track progressive metal single (7m 31s) — released July 13th 2018 on Milky Bomb Records

Milky Bomb Records Present:

Megalomatic: 'Coil'... To help celebrate Megalomatic's 5th year anniversary show, presented by DF Concerts at the Cathouse in Glasgow, 21st July, 2018.

Glasgow's trio, Megalomatic are back with a ferocious new single, succeeding the Symbolism E.P released last year. The E.P received coverage from Louder Than War, Evening Times, and with glowing reviews from bloggers alike. Air play from the likes of, BBC Radio 1 Rock Show (Daniel P. Carter), Way Out Radio (UK), Big Bang Radio, WNIA, 89.1 FM (USA) to name a few...

"I'm not seeing a bunch of Biffy, but it is wicked!"

- Daniel P. Carter, Radio 1 Rock Show

"...ferocious, riff-tastic tour-de-force..."

- Martin Williams, Evening Times

The single also features a B-side: Civility Smiles.

And to celebrate this anniversary headline show, Megalomatic give you this:

'Coil' - haunting vocal harmonies and falsetto sections inspired directly by, The Dillinger Escape Plan (later releases), and taking a more consciously, melodic approach to the chorus. And the verse groove - for anyone who is a fan of Tool.

- This is one of the most cohesive songs they've ever written!

'Civility Smiles' - "This is very much a Frankenstein's monster of a song."

The music is something that is streamlined and aggressive from start to finish. The band take their influences from artists, such as, Reuben and Pantera to Dorje and Bad Sign.

- The B-side is unrelentingly heavy and energetic for the entire duration. Ka boom!

Track of the day! - Isaac Banks Valley FM 89.5, Australia

Huuuge riff in that song, absolutely love it... seriously cool voice! - Fergus Dufton Amazing Radio
