About three years ago Mellow started his Club Tikka CD series joining the dots between Breaks, Acid Jazz, Soul - always funky, sometimes retro, sometimes modern but always authentic.
On Volume 3 Mellow takes a closer look on what happened during his Moondoo residency in Germany. Here you find quite a few of the DJs who joined Mellow on Friday night: Smoove, Boca 45, Soopasoul, Pitch & Scratch and Torpedo Boyz plus a few who will probably follow.
There are also a coule of rarities and exclusives around: Torpedo Boyz return with Back To The Beatz after winning this year's US Independent Music Awards. The Mighty Mocambos join Jazzman recording artist Paikan for an exclusive sitar funk track. JD 73's NMS remix is rarely heard, as is the first physical release of Daytoner's mighty glam funk rework of Mr. Confuse's Hurricane Jane.
There is much more to discover: Timo Lassy & Jose James teaming up and two cover verisons for the connaisseurs among you. Springsteen's Hungry Heart in an acoustic version by Pajaro Sunrise and the Flamin' Groovies Shale Some Action done in true soul style at last by Jenny Dee & The Deelinquents.
