Shoestrüng, a solo project, has been around in some shape or form for some time. It was only in 2015 after the rising need to find a way to express the frustrations and rewards of day to day life, that it became solid and realized in a direction of what would start the journey in the expression of emotion through music. With a background in Fine Arts, Video, Animation, and a long history of musical expression, Shoestrüng approaches musical composition as a form of true story telling. His musical background and various influencing musical styles allow him to create journeys through soundscapes and composition. His influences hail from the shoegaze era (also part of the inspiration of the project's artist name) and mid 90's experimental trip hop, EDM and IDM. Shoestrüng calls Hong Kong home and this exposure has played heavily in his personalized approach to sounds and the aura of living in one of the most densely populated places on earth.
